Find the perfect Kilimanjaro trek route

The Kilimanjaro trek can be done via multiple routes, each with their own unique experiences and vistas. We conduct the Kilimanjaro trek on the top-rated routes of the mountain, with expert guides and experienced staff supporting you throughout the trek.
One of the easier routes for the Kilimanjaro trek, the Machame route gives trekkers a fantastic mix of gorgeous views and ease of climbing. With only a few tricky and steep patches and plenty of time to acclimatise, this is one of the best Kilimanjaro trek routes for fit beginners or hiking newbies.
If you’re one to explore beautiful sceneries, Lemosho is the perfect Kilimanjaro trek route for you! The route winds through the west of the mountain while trekking Kilimanjaro and offers views of deep gorges, dense rainforests, and sprawling mountain ranges. It’s the best route for offbeat trekkers as it remains less crowded for most of the year.

By far the easiest Kilimanjaro trek route, Rongai is the most paced out of all routes. The climb is gradual, and the trail remains relatively dry throughout the year, making it the best route if you’re trekking Kilimanjaro in the heavy rain season, when most routes remain inaccessible or reserved for experienced trekkers.

This one is for experienced trekkers looking for a thrilling challenge while trekking Kilimanjaro! The ascent is much quicker and time for acclimatisation is limited. The route has frequent steep climbs that are exposed, displaying massive views of the surrounding region far below you. This Kilimanjaro trek route is not for the faint-hearted!

    • We would like to thank you and your team for all your hard work, organisation and help getting us up to the top. If it wasn’t for you, your jokes and your inspirational speeches we would still be sitting at Machame gate. You Rock Us! See you in Edinburgh.

    • In August 2015 our family joined Wilfred and his crew on the Lemosho Route for 8 days. It was an experience that nobody ever will forget. Thanks to the wonderful company, the excellent food (every day something different and always fresh) and the good and good planning all of us reached the summit in good shape. Of course we were lucky that we had good weather conditions, but without the excellent guidance some of us have given up. Asante sana Wilfred and crew!

    • I loved the personal service from start to finish. This experience was a case study in customer/client service. From managing expectations to meeting and exceeding them, I cannot imagine that the trip could have gone any better. The staff and crew were exceptional, the food was beyond expectations, and the personal encouragement unbelievable.

I really don’t have any complaints. I would just say that you keep up the good work, and strive to make every client feel this way—not just the ones with a personal connection if that was the case—and Kili Treks will be very successful.

    • Kili Treks is a company that stands out among the others. If not for the pedigree of Everest-climber Wilfred, then it might be the other skilful guides. We had a fantastic week with guides Godlove and Renatus, who were able to keep the pace steady while telling us about the weird vegetation on the mountain. The facilities were well taken care of. And they are very accommodating; if you want to change anything or think about other ways, Wilfred will do his best to make it happen.

    • I Climbed, and summited, Mt. Kilimanjaro last October (2017) with Kili Treks Tanzania. It was the most exhilirating experience of my life. And it would NOT have been possible without the total support , and commitment, of Wilfred Moshi and his fabulous team. At 77, I needed to climb much more slowly than my teammates . Wilfred saw to it that I climbed at my own pace, with no pressure to go faster, no embarrassment if I came into camp 45 minutes later than the rest. And I always had someone there with me. If you are considering climbing this beautiful mountain, I highly suggest you do it with Kili Treks Tanzania.
