Full Itinerary

Day 0

Arrival Day

Upon arrival, you will be met by our mountain operations team and transferred to your lodge in Moshi. During the evening, you will attend a detailed pre-climb briefing including route overview, altitude considerations, safety protocols, and a full gear inspection.

Day 1

Marangu Gate → Mandara Hut

After breakfast you will transfer to Marangu Gate for registration before meeting your mountain crew and beginning the trek through lush rainforest. The trail gradually ascends through dense vegetation before reaching Mandara Hut.

Altitude: 1,800 m → 2,700 m
Trekking Time: 3–4 hours

Day 2

Mandara Hut → Horombo Hut

The trail leaves the rainforest and enters moorland terrain with increasingly open landscapes and excellent views of Mawenzi Peak.

Day 3

Acclimatization Hike → Zebra Rocks

This additional acclimatization day allows your body to adapt to altitude while exploring the striking landscape near Zebra Rocks and Mawenzi slopes.

Day 4

Horombo Hut → Kibo Hut

Day 5

Kibo Hut → Uhuru Peak → Horombo Hut (Summit Day)

You will begin the summit push shortly after midnight, ascending steep scree slopes toward Gilman's Point before continuing toward Uhuru Peak. After summit celebrations descend to Horombo Hut.

Day 6

Horombo Hut → Marangu Gate → Moshi
