By far the easiest route to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Rongai route sees many beginners on its trail. Apart from its ease, the Rongai route attracts trekkers by being the only route that winds through the north of the mountain, making it the only accessible route during the monsoon months as the region receives little to no rainfall.
Spanning over 7 days, the ascent on the Rongai route, Kilimanjaro, is gradual and paced out. The descent on this trek is via a second route, known as the Marangu route, offering you a varied scenery and trail on your way back to the base.
